The license granted to the FBO contains an active period of 1 to 5 years, depending on the FBO's choice; therefore, the FBO must renew the license after its validity period is over. The FBO must apply for restoration before 30 days from the expiration of a valid license in Form A or Form B, . If FBO fails to practise within 30 days but records before the license expiration date, they should pay late fines up to a maximum of ₹100 per day.

Before restoration, the authority routinely inspects, but if the FBO has a history of working with a business that has been approved by the food authority as an auditor for food safety, they shouldn't anticipate being inspected.
