As far as we know, every Food Business Operator (FBO) is required by the Act to obtain an FSSAI license restoration. It is crucial to obtain consent from all FBO, including the manufacturer, distributor, transporter, retailer, etc. A food business operator who wishes to start a business or engage in the food industry must register with the appropriate authority or obtain a license. The license granted to the FBO contains an active period of 1 to 5 years, depending on the FBO's choice; therefore, the FBO must renew the license after its validity period is over. As a result, obtaining a license for an FBO requires periodic renewal.
On condition that all license requirements are met, FBO will be granted a license for a period of 1 to 5 years depending on their choice, starting from the day that their registration or license was transferred.
The FBO must apply for restoration before 30 days from the expiration of a valid license in Form A or Form B, . If FBO fails to practise within 30 days but records before the license expiration date, they should pay late fines up to a maximum of ₹100 per day.
It is always advisable to apply for the restoration of the present Food License as soon as it appears in the Renewal section. Because it will be posted there 60 days before it expires. After receiving the application, the authority examines it and issues the renewal license.
Before restoration, the authority routinely inspects, but if the FBO has a history of working with a business that has been approved by the food authority as an auditor for food safety, they shouldn't anticipate being inspected. The authorities must support the license renewal if the inspector is qualified. The process is carried out in 60 days.
